Volume and 3D Shapes

Task Description:

For this task, we had to solve the answers to these following questions. Our WALT (We Are Learning To) for this task was to Identify shapes based on their properties. Our Success criteria to know we have successfully learned how to do this task was that I can identify shapes based on their sides, vertices and interior angles. I tried my best on these questions, and some were kind of tricky, though I managed to solve it in the end, I think the one that took the longest was the word problems.

Which would You? – Dawn Raid part 4

Task Description:

I did this task with Zaria and Mary, and for this task we had to pick which one we would have gone to or done, and why. We had to finish this task within I think 10 minutes and I managed to finish this task and post it on my blog. We had no disagreements in the end of this task. I hope you enjoy looking through our answers.

Dawn Raid 4

Task Description

For this task, we had to read from Sunday the 22nd of August to Wednesday the 13th of October. If you do not understand what I mean, these are diary entries from a girl names Sofia who told everything about her day and how it went. For the second slide I had ti answer some comprehension questions about the story after I had finished reading it. Some were about me and some were about the story. One of the questions were asking about the meaning of one of the words that were in the story. And for the fourth slide I had to compare Charlotte and Sofia to what they had in common and what their different were to each other, I once again had skimmed and scanned through the story, trying to get more information about the two because I didn’t really have a lot in mind. And for the last final slides I had to choose 2 things that I had to create.  I chose to do a map of where Sofia and her family went, and a video about my opinions went Charlotte told Sofia about her family. Our success Criteria for this was to explain a point of view of a character, justify why I think this and to keep up with my group and If I fall behind I catch up. Our WALT for this task was to monitor ourselves to finish a novel, compare and Contrast, make Inference and make connections.

Polygons

Task Description

For this maths task, we had to group basic 2D Shapes based on their properties. On the second slide, it explains what we know about identifying shapes, It’s sides, corners or vertices, angles and symmetry. On the third slide it explains what a polygon needs to be one, it also explained what polygon means. On the rest of the slides it is an activity for the students like me to complete. The fourth slide was to times the sides together, and the fifth slide was naming each regular polygon. For the last slide we had to create our own polygon and I chose to do a square, we than had to explain the properties of the shape we chose. In the end I managed to complete this task and post it on my blog, I hope you enjoy going through my slides!

Nutrients from Food

Task Description

For this task, we had to write the nutrients in many different things, and how it could effect you if you only ate that one thing everyday. After we had done this we had to pick an item of food that we liked to eat and find out the nutrients it contains. This was what I found out about mine. I hope you enjoy going through this!

What are 3D Shapes?

Task Description: For this maths task, the WALT for this was to Identify shapes based on their properties. On the second slide I had to group each of these 2D shapes together. On the third slide it explains how 3D shapes work, and what they look like. On the fourth slide, it explains the properties of 3D shapes with photos and a video. On the fifth slide, I had to name each shape with the answers on the right side. There was a link in the green oval that showed me the pictures of these shapes with the answers next to it. The next slide after that was for me to fill in the number of faces, vertices and edges of the following shapes it says in these columns. Lastly, I had to figure out the answers to these 3D shapes to get the volume. Our success criteria for this was that I can identify shapes based on their sides, vertices and interior angles.

Shapes Review

Task Description: For this maths task, I had to describe basic shapes based on their properties. For the first slide, it looks like it’s something easy to start the task off. I had to find other photos with other shapes the two examples were the shirt and the flower. On the second slide, it explains what the properties of a 2D shape were, it also explains sides, corners, verticals, angles and symmetry. On the third slide, I then have to explain the properties of each of the shapes. The example was the square and I had to continue this with the rest of the shapes. Lastly for the final slide, I had to name the shape that matched the description and put the shape image onto the slide. This I found very easy to do because I try and imagine the shape while I talk to myself about that very description. The success criteria for this was that I could recognise different types of shapes. Our WALT (We are learning to) for this was to group 2d shapes.

Dawn Raid 3

Task Description: For this task we had to read entries from Wednesday the 23rd of July to Friday the 21st of August, For this task I had comprehension questions to answer after I had finished reading the story. I have tried my best to find the answer while answering the comprehension questions by skimming and scanning through the text. I then had to choose two types of activity like things to do, I chose creating both the scene of Sofia learning how to jump onto the moving milk truck while passing out milk and creating a milk cart or Sofia’s money jar.
